50 scroll-stopping LinkedIn hooks for B2B founders

A scroll-stopping LinkedIn hook for a B2B founder is the first line of a post that already contains the price, the count, or the decision. A stranger can stop on that line because the line is about a company that exists. The rest of the post can prove it. The line does not borrow a percentage from a thread, and it does not open with a costume phrase.

This page is fifty blanks. Brackets are slots. You fill a slot from a note you could defend on a sales call. An empty bracket is not a hook. A filled line that invents the number is not a hook either. Boykli does not store these fifty lines. On Create posts, the hook switch returns one to five openings for the draft in front of you, default three, and an optional angle box forces every opening onto a sentence you type. Paste one filled blank into that box. The formulas the writer may use, and the list short mode refuses, are on the LinkedIn hook generator page. The reason the words have to start from something you brought is the constraint in building Boykli.

Logged-in visitors can browse Radar and Algorithm without a plan. Writing the post under the hook needs a paid seat. BYOK is $29 a month. Managed is $88 a month. Prices are the public ones on boykli.com.

The left column is the search most hook packs answer. If the hour you want is "show me fifty openings that already traveled," this page will disappoint you on purpose. The middle column is a shape. The right column is the only place a filled shape becomes a draft you can queue. Post types a buying committee can forward, which is the body under the hook, are in the B2B founder branding playbook. Idea shapes for the note itself are on LinkedIn post ideas for founders.

Which blanks match the note you already have

Pick the row from the note, then pick one number inside that row. Two blanks in one angle box produce two posts fighting over one fact.

If the note already containsUse blanksBoykli mode that fits the bodyLeave these alone this week
A price, a plan name, a refund count, or a discount you killed1–8Medium, or long if the objection needs roomA scene you did not attend
An operating metric with a before, an after, and a window9–16Medium. Short if the whole story is two sentencesA second metric you did not measure
A refusal, a cut feature, a hire you did not make17–24Short or medium. Hot Take only when the challenged belief is in the note"Unpopular opinion" as a prefix
A call, a quote you heard, a room, a title25–32Medium with Personal Story, or longA feeling you did not write down
A ship date, an activation definition, a bug, a deleted screen33–40Medium, document if the source is a spec, series if one mechanism needs 2 to 8 partsThe filename as a substitute for the file
A stalled deal, a reply count, a cycle length41–46Medium. Teach and Explain if the point is the criterionA logo you cannot name in public
Headcount, who owns a decision, the weekly review47–50ShortA culture slogan with no artifact

Short posts are asked to land around 30 to 75 words. The page label says 45–400 characters. Medium is about 100 to 250 words (400–1400 characters). Long is 1400–3000 characters. The hook is still the first line in every mode. Length limits for the whole post, including the 3,000-character ceiling, are on LinkedIn post length.

The 50 blanks

Each line is one hook. Replace every bracket. Delete the brackets. If a bracket has no honest fill, that number is not available this week. Do not merge two numbers into one sentence. Do not add a prefix from the banned list later in this page.

Pricing and the offer (1–8)

  1. [Plan] is [price] because [cost you can name], which is the opposite of [the reason a buyer assumes].
  2. Annual went from [old price] to [new price], and [count] of [count] accounts renewed.
  3. The discount we killed was [offer]. The [count] deals that needed it were [the deals you did not want].
  4. [Segment] asked for [feature]. The invoice they accepted was for [narrower job].
  5. Monthly exists for [specific buyer], and it costs them [delta] against [annual terms].
  6. We refunded [count] accounts in [window] for one reason: "[sentence from the ticket]".
  7. The free tier stops at [limit]. Past that, the work is [the job you charge for].
  8. [Category you compete with] bundles [thing]. We bill it separately because [operational fact].

Invalid if the price is "affordable," the count is "a lot," or the quote is a paraphrase you cleaned up until the customer would not recognize it.

A number from the operating system (9–16)

  1. [Metric] moved from [before] to [after] in [window], and [second metric] stayed put.
  2. Tickets about [topic] dropped from [before] to [after] after [change].
  3. [Count] of [denominator] still [behavior] after we shipped [change].
  4. Median time from [start] to [end] is [duration]. The number we used to tell was [old duration].
  5. [Count] of the last [count] closed deals named [objection] before they signed.
  6. Churn in [month] was [count or rate], and [count] of those accounts never [activation step].
  7. [Hours] a week still go to [ritual]. The output is [artifact], and [role] redoes it.
  8. [Channel] brought [count] signups in [window]. [Count] paid. The rest stopped at [step].

Invalid if the denominator is missing, the window is "recently," or the second metric was added because the first one looked lonely.

A decision you can defend (17–24)

  1. We stopped [practice] after [evidence you saw].
  2. [Feature] is off the roadmap. The last [count] requests came from accounts under [threshold].
  3. We kept [old way] for [segment] and removed it for everyone else on [date].
  4. The hire we did not make was [role]. [Seat] still owns [job] because [constraint].
  5. We turned down [segment] because [requirement] would have broken [promise you already make].
  6. [Process] now happens before [later process]. The reversed order produced [specific incident].
  7. [Stakeholder] wanted [X]. We shipped [Y] because [constraint that is still true].
  8. We publish [metric] when it moves [direction], because the substitute was [vanity number].

Invalid if the decision is a value statement ("we believe in focus") with no date and no artifact.

The customer in the room (25–32)

  1. [Role] opened the call with "[quote you heard]". The product they bought does [narrower thing].
  2. [Count] people in [meeting] had not read [artifact] that went out [when].
  3. [Title] forwarded the post, then asked [question the post did not answer].
  4. A [segment] customer used [workaround] for [duration] before they told us.
  5. The demo died at [step]. [Role] asked [question], and we did not have [artifact].
  6. [Count] pilots ended in the same [window] on the same missing [integration or permission].
  7. The champion was [title]. Procurement asked for [document] we did not have on [date].
  8. [User] kept [old tool] during the trial and still paid, because [reason they gave].

Invalid if the quote is improved, the room is generic ("a founder I spoke to"), or the title is invented to sound senior.

Shipping and the product (33–40)

  1. [Feature] shipped on [date]. [Count] accounts turned it on. [Count] turned it off within [window].
  2. The bug that [customer-visible effect] lived for [duration] because [cause].
  3. We rewrote [system]. The user-visible change was [one thing].
  4. [Migration] moved [count] records. [Count] needed a human because [edge case].
  5. The setting almost nobody finds is [setting]. It changes [behavior]. The default is [default] because [reason].
  6. We deleted [surface] on [date]. Support for it was [count] a week. Usage was [count].
  7. [Integration] fails when [condition]. The message the customer sees is "[message]", and the cause is [cause].
  8. [Version or change] cut [step] from onboarding. Activation, defined as [definition], went from [before] to [after].

Invalid if "shipped" has no date, or activation has no definition. A rewrite with no user-visible change is a status update, and blank 35 is the way to say that in one line.

Pipeline, without a pitch (41–46)

  1. [Count] conversations in [window] stalled on [objection]. The fact that unstuck [count] of them was [fact].
  2. Notes to [segment] produced [count] replies from [count] sends. The line that got the reply was "[sentence you sent]".
  3. Inbound from [source] was [count] in [window]. [Count] fit [offer]. The rest wanted [other job].
  4. The deal we lost to [alternative or do-nothing] failed on [criterion].
  5. A committee of [roles] needed [artifact] before [meeting]. We had it on [date].
  6. Median cycle for [segment] is [duration] from [first call] to [signature]. [One deal] took [longer] because [reason].

Invalid if the reply count has no send count, or the lost deal is blamed on "timing" with no criterion. A hook that ends in "DM me" is a pitch. Put the criterion in the line and leave the ask for a later sentence, and only if the post has a real next step.

The company you actually run (47–50)

  1. [Role] owns [decision]. Everyone else can see [artifact]. They cannot change [thing].
  2. We are [headcount]. [Function] is still [one person or nobody], which is why [customer-visible limit] exists.
  3. The weekly review is [duration] and covers [numbers]. Anything else waits until [cadence].
  4. The founder still [does the job] because [system] cannot [capability] yet.

Invalid if headcount is a range you use for press, or the weekly review covers "alignment." Blank 50 is the honest version of a founder-led company. It is a specific job, not a badge.

One blank, filled, before it touches the editor

Use a note a founder could actually have. "On 3 March we moved annual from $79 to $129. 41 of 56 annual accounts renewed. The 15 that left had all skipped the workspace invite during onboarding."

Blank 2 fills as: "Annual went from $79 to $129, and 41 of 56 accounts renewed."

Blank 14 fills as: "15 accounts left in the price move, and all 15 had skipped the workspace invite."

Those are two posts. The first is a pricing decision. The second is an activation failure that the price change exposed. Publishing both in the same week, with the same first noun, makes the second post look like a correction of the first. Pick one. Save the other note for a later draft.

A bad fill of blank 2 is: "We raised prices and most customers stayed." The brackets were there to prevent that sentence. "Most" is not 41 of 56. A bad fill of blank 9 is a percentage a chat added, such as a study you did not run. The writing rules on Create posts forbid invented statistics, studies, quotes, revenue figures, and anecdotes. The rule applies to the hook and to the body. Your read is still the check, because a draft can miss.

Paste one filled line into the hook angle

This is one medium post. The same seat applies to the other modes. Change the mode if the matrix says the body is a short post or a series.

  1. Confirm a paid seat. Browsing Radar does not write. A missing seat fails in the API.
  2. Open Create posts and choose the mode from the matrix. Set the tone from the material. Personal Story if the note is a room. Teach and Explain if it is a mechanism. The hook switch does not pick the tone.
  3. Paste the idea with every figure the blank uses. For the worked example, the box contains $79, $129, 41, 56, and the skipped invite. Under ten characters, Create posts stops you. Ten characters is a floor against an empty box. It is not a post.
  4. Fill one blank on paper, including deleting the brackets. Turn the hook switch on. Paste that sentence into the angle box. Every variation is supposed to stay on that angle. Leave the box empty only when you want to see which shape the model picks from the note. Empty is a test. It is a weaker instruction.
  5. Set the slider. Three is the default. Five is the maximum. One is enough when the filled blank is already the line you would post, and you only want the body checked against it.
  6. Write. Read the list before the body. Discard any line that contains a number, a quote, or a customer you did not supply. Discard any line that starts with a banned opening. Select the line you would post with nothing after it. That selection replaces the first non-empty line. Later lines stay. If the model spent two lines on the opening, the swap rewrites only the first. Read line two.
  7. Read the draft on a phone width and a desktop width. The post preview is that check. LinkedIn does not publish the character count where the feed folds, so the first line has to carry the price or the count by itself.
  8. Save to the Library if you are not posting now. When you are ready, connect the personal profile and publish or queue. The queue uses the weekdays, the one time of day, and the timezone you save. Company pages are not a destination. The queue is the LinkedIn scheduling tool. How the full draft is assembled, separate from this first line, is the LinkedIn post generator.

A series adds one check. The variation list applies to part 1. Parts 2 onward keep the openings they were written with. If part 2's first line repeats the same price, change part 2.

What a filled blank still has to survive

Short mode may not open on "I". These fifty lines are written so the first word is a plan, a metric, a feature, a role, or "We". If you rewrite blank 50 into "I still do billing because the product cannot invoice yet," a short draft is fighting the prompt. Keep the job in the line and keep "I" out of the first word, or switch the mode to medium.

The stock openings banned across these prompts are: "Here's the thing," "Let that sink in," "Unpopular opinion," "Hot take," "The truth is," "In a world where," "Nobody talks about this," "This is your reminder," and "I used to think." Hot Take remains a tone on short posts and on articles. The tone means the draft should challenge a belief that is in your material. It does not mean the first line may begin with the words "Hot take." Do not staple any of those phrases onto a filled blank.

Short posts also ban closers such as "Agree?", "Thoughts?", and "Comment below." A hook that is secretly a poll is one of those closers moved to line 1. Blank 27 is a question a real person asked you. It is not "Sound familiar?"

The list of openings is not stored as a swipe file. The next post starts from the next idea. Voice Agent can turn a live conversation into posts for that session. It does not become a hook style applied to every later draft. Two refinements are allowed on a draft. Managed accounts also have a monthly cap of 130 post refinements and 210 posts. BYOK has no Boykli generation cap. You still pay OpenRouter for chat. Managed posts are written with Grok 4.6. There is no model picker on Create posts.

Boykli does not record impressions, dwell, or a "see more" rate. A specific line can still be skipped. A cliché can still travel. These blanks are a way to force the first sentence to contain your fact. They are not a distribution model. Reach, pods, and automated comments are a different subject, covered where those behaviors are named. This page does not rank your fifty fills.

FAQ

Are these 50 hooks generated inside Boykli?

No. They are blanks on this page. Create posts has a hook switch, an angle box, and a slider from 1 to 5. There is no hook library in the nav, and the ideas library does not store openings. Picking an idea fills the core idea. It does not fill the angle box. You paste one filled blank yourself.

Can I drop all 50 into one draft?

No. One angle per draft. The slider asks for up to five variations of that angle, which are near-copies with different shapes, not fifty unrelated openers. A second fact from the same week is a second note and a second post.

Which blank should a technical founder use first?

The one whose brackets you can fill without opening a spreadsheet you do not trust. A shipping note (33–40) is usually available on a Tuesday. A pricing note (1–8) is available when a price actually changed. A pipeline note (41–46) is available when you can say the send count and the reply count in the same sentence. If you cannot, wait.

Will a template hurt reach because LinkedIn detects it?

The feed sees the filled sentence, not the bracket. A line that could open a hundred other SaaS posts is easy to skip because nothing in it is checkable. That is a content problem. Boykli does not claim a template penalty, and it does not show an impressions chart that could prove one. The protection is the filled slot.

Can the stat blanks invent a percentage if I leave the number out?

They are instructions to you, and the product is told not to invent one either. If the note has no number, pick a decision blank (17–24) or a scene blank (25–32) that you can fill with a quote and a title. If a percentage appears in the draft that you did not write, delete the line or spend a refinement on that sentence.

Do I put the hook in my LinkedIn headline too?

No. The headline is the 220-character line under your name. The hook is the first line of one post. Mixing them produces a headline that expires on Thursday. The split is on the LinkedIn headline generator page.

Can I schedule the post once the line is right?

Yes, on the connected personal profile, with an active seat. You save weekdays, one time of day, and a timezone, then add the post to the queue. The app does not publish a company page, and it does not attach a first comment.

What if every blank sounds like a billboard once it is filled?

The billboard version dropped the second clause. Blank 9 without "and [second metric] stayed put" is an ad. Blank 2 without the two counts is an ad. Put the second clause back, or turn the switch off and write the first line yourself from the note. The blanks are a constraint. They are not a voice.
