MagicPost alternative

People who search for a MagicPost alternative are usually paying for a LinkedIn workspace, then noticing which part of that workspace they actually use. MagicPost is a LinkedIn product for writing, scheduling, measuring posts, replying, and turning engagement into scored leads. AI writing, carousels, visuals, an inspiration library, scheduled comments, and an API sit on the Creator plan and above. Growth, the cheaper individual plan, is manual writing plus measurement. Agency and Team add more LinkedIn identities, approvals, and reporting.

Boykli covers the production half for one person. You start from a rough idea, a conversation, a YouTube video, an article, or a document. The app writes the LinkedIn post, can design a carousel PDF with your brand kit, can make an image, and can queue the result on the personal profile you connect. It does not chart impressions, it does not score leads, it does not schedule comments, and it does not run a client roster or an employee-advocacy workspace.

If the subscription is paying for the metrics dashboard, the engagement feed, lead detection, company pages, or seats for clients and teammates, switching is a downgrade. If the subscription is paying because the draft and the carousel are still the slow part, and you post as yourself, the products overlap and then split. The split is what the cheaper plan includes, how the carousel is made, and whether anyone else publishes from the same account.

Prices below are from MagicPost's help center articles What are the MagicPost plans and Is MagicPost free, both current as of this writing, and from boykli.com on 25 October 2026. MagicPost says a price can vary by country and is shown excluding VAT. Recheck magicpost.in/pricing before you buy. Older reviews still quote an Analytics plan or a Starter plan. MagicPost's help center says those plans are no longer sold.

Growth is not the AI plan

The number people quote first is MagicPost Growth at $29 a month billed yearly, or $49 month to month. That card does not include AI post generation, the idea generator, the hook generator, AI edits, carousels, visuals, AI images, scheduled comments, inspirations, or the API and MCP server. On Growth you write the post yourself, schedule it, read advanced metrics, use the engagement feed, and run lead detection for 100 people a month. The Media page stays open so you can upload files you already made. The creation buttons ask you to upgrade.

Creator is the plan that matches the phrase "AI LinkedIn tool." It is $69 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly. It adds unlimited AI post generation, the idea and hook generators, AI edits (with a daily limit) and an AI score on a post, carousel and visual and AI image generation with no cap set by the plan, scheduled comments, inspirations, API keys, the MCP server, and 200 analyzed leads a month. If a comparison puts Boykli's $29 seat next to MagicPost's $29 seat and calls them the same product, it is comparing a generation tool with a measurement tool.

Agency and Team are $59 per seat per month, or $47 per seat billed yearly. One seat is one LinkedIn identity, a personal profile or a company page. A standard seat opens Creator's features, with tighter media and lead limits: 100 AI images a month, 100 AI edits of visuals and carousels a month, and 100 leads a month. Agency adds a client workspace, approval mode (the client approves from a link and does not need a MagicPost account), white-label reports, and an onboarding call. Team adds a workspace per member, a team calendar, team metrics with goals, and an onboarding call. Team starts at two seats.

Boykli has two public seats on the same product, and both are for one person. BYOK is $29 a month. You bring an OpenRouter key for chat and images and a Google AI Studio key for Voice Agent. Boykli does not add a monthly generation cap on that seat. You still pay those providers. Managed is $88 a month and includes the models inside monthly caps: 210 posts, 150 carousels, 150 images, 25 Voice Agent sessions, and 130 post refinements. There is no second price for "AI unlocked." There is also no org plan, no per-client seat, and no free trial that opens generation. Browsing Radar and Algorithm while logged in is not that trial.

On a single personal profile, BYOK at $29 is the same sticker as Growth billed yearly, and it buys the opposite feature set: generation on, analytics off. Managed at $88 is higher than Creator at $69 month to month and higher than Creator at $39 billed yearly. That gap is real. Creator includes the metrics, the reply tools, the lead quota, scheduled comments, inspirations, and MCP. Managed includes none of those, and it meters carousels and images. Compare the job, then the price. Five Boykli subscriptions are five logins. They are not an Agency workspace.

Carousels, visuals, and photos of you

MagicPost's media help center describes three creation paths plus a GIF search it does not generate. A carousel is a deck in one fixed vertical format. MagicPost writes and lays out the slides, you edit them, and the export is a PDF. The Carousels tab is marked beta. You can also start from a template or from scratch without spending a generation. Template visuals fill a fixed layout, open an editor for text, colors, and design, and export a JPEG. AI visuals and mockups are a finished image. You request a change. You do not edit the letters by hand. AI photos are a picture of you, from reference photos, in a place and outfit you describe. One brand kit per account stores colors, design styles, and identity (name, subtitle, photo, logo). A Copilot column can change a carousel or a template visual from a typed request. Add to a post attaches the file. Growth cannot generate any of this.

Boykli starts the carousel from the other end, which is the choice described in building Boykli. The carousel page asks a model to design the slides, then renders a PDF. There is no catalog of layouts you fill, and there is no Copilot column for nudging a text box. Designs exist. The default is Neo-Brutalist, and you can pick which model draws the deck. The brand kit lives on the carousel page: colors, your profile, your LinkedIn handle, and a logo. It is not a stack of client kits. The PDF is a file you can download, and you can publish it with the caption to the personal profile you connect.

Images are a separate Boykli generation. They are not slides, and they are not an AI photo of your face from a reference shot. If the asset you need is "me, in this outfit, in this room," MagicPost's AI photos are the tool that names that job. If the asset is a single illustration or a photograph of the topic, that is Boykli's image button, with its own cap on Managed.

A practical test: take one idea you would actually post, such as a framework from a customer call. In MagicPost on Creator you can generate the post, generate a carousel from that post, edit the slides, attach the PDF, and schedule a comment under it. In Boykli you judge whether the generated slides are something you would put your name on, then fix the post text and the brand kit if the colors or the handle are wrong. If you want to reposition every text box, MagicPost's carousel editor is the instrument built for that. If you want a deck that was not filled into a shared template, Boykli is the one built for that. A wrong claim on a generated slide is still your post either way. Supergrow's version of the template-editor comparison is Supergrow alternative. MagicPost is closer to Boykli than Supergrow is, because both can generate the slide copy, and then MagicPost still opens an editor.

Voice, ideas, and the swipe file

MagicPost's public answer to "will this sound like me" is a writing setup per LinkedIn identity. Their agency and pricing pages say a client's published posts are analyzed so the imported style keeps getting sharper, and that you still edit before it goes out. The idea generator takes a topic, a file, a URL, a persona, or a similar source. The hook generator writes opening lines. Inspirations, on Creator and above, are other creators you follow so you can reuse what works. The MCP server, also on Creator and above, lets an assistant draft, schedule, and read metrics from the MagicPost account. MagicPost documents connectors for assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Boykli does not import a style model from your historical posts, and it does not score a draft. Voice Agent is a live conversation that becomes posts for that session. It is one of the write paths, not a persona you apply later to every carousel. The other paths are the seven write modes on Create posts. Series means several connected posts from one idea. YouTube, article, and document mean the source is a video, a link, or a file. Radar is a feed of articles you can start a draft from. It is not a library of viral posts. The ideas library holds ideas, not someone else's winners. There is no customer MCP server that drives the queue from an outside assistant.

That is a narrower product on purpose. The words are supposed to start from something you said or found. If the reason MagicPost feels worth it is the inspiration library plus a hook score plus an assistant that can also pull last week's impressions, Boykli will not absorb that stack at $29. People who want a viral database, comments, and leads in a different suite are usually in the Taplio alternative comparison. People who want bold formatting and a "see more" preview inside an editor are in AuthoredUp alternative. MagicPost sits nearer the full workspace: generation, a queue, measurement, and leads, with AI gated above Growth.

Measurement is the part you give up

MagicPost tracks performance and sells that as a core of every paid plan, including Growth. The leads module detects people who interact with your posts and scores them against ideal-customer profiles. Quotas are 100 a month on Growth, 200 on Creator, and 100 per seat on Agency and Team. A paying subscriber can buy more lead credits. Those add-ons are not sold during the trial. The engagement feed and a reply space let you answer comments on your own posts without opening LinkedIn. Scheduled comments, the ones you write in advance under your own post, start on Creator.

Boykli does none of that. The Algorithm page explains LinkedIn's public algorithm notes in plain language. It will not rank your posts. Radar will not tell you who engaged. The scheduler does not pick a time from your history and does not attach a first comment. LinkedIn's own post view still shows impressions and engagement for posts it still retains. That is the place to look if you leave MagicPost's dashboard and still want a number. It is not a lead score, a white-label client report, or a team goal.

Both products publish through LinkedIn's official connection rather than a browser extension. MagicPost states this directly and calls itself a LinkedIn-verified partner. Boykli connects the personal profile with LinkedIn OAuth and publishes from that connection. Official OAuth is not a promise that LinkedIn will show your post to more people. It is a statement about how the post leaves the app. Boykli still will not publish a company page, and it will not publish as a client who never logged in.

A week of posts on one profile

This is the Boykli path. It assumes you are the person whose name is on the profile.

  1. Collect the raw material before you open a composer. A note from a call, a YouTube link, an article, or a file is enough. Voice Agent is the path when the material is still a conversation. Radar is the path when you want articles to start from. Skip Algorithm unless you want the public notes. It will not score the draft or pick a slot.
  2. Write on Create posts. Match the mode to the source: short, medium, or long for a note; YouTube, article, or document when there is a video, a link, or a file; series when you want several posts from one idea. Read the draft as something you would sign. Boykli will not check it against an imported style profile, because there isn't one.
  3. Build the carousel on the carousel page when the idea is a deck. Set the brand kit there if the colors, handle, or logo should appear. The output is a PDF. Judge the slides. If you need to edit every text box, request an AI photo of yourself, or schedule a comment under the post, this is the step where MagicPost Creator is the better instrument. An image, if you need one that is not a slide, is a separate generation.
  4. Connect the personal profile and queue the post. You choose the days, the time of day, and the timezone. The next item takes the next open slot, and you can reorder. There is no company page and no best-time heatmap. How that calendar behaves is in LinkedIn scheduling tool.
  5. Keep finished pieces in the library. Boykli will not list impressions, will not name the people who liked the post, and will not draft the reply. That review, if you still want it, stays in MagicPost or in LinkedIn's own numbers.

A week whose real work is "approve three clients, answer their comments, and export a white-label report" never belongs in this list. That week is MagicPost Agency.

Who should move, and who should not

Move toward Boykli if you post as one person, the hour disappears before a draft exists, and you want the carousel designed rather than filled into a template you then restyle. BYOK at $29 is the seat when you will bring OpenRouter and Google AI Studio keys. Managed at $88 is the seat when you want Boykli's models inside the caps above. The product itself is the place to confirm the current cards.

Stay on MagicPost Growth if you already write the posts and the thing you pay for is metrics, replies, and 100 leads a month, on a profile or a company page. Stay on Creator if you want AI writing in the same app as that measurement layer, plus editable carousels, AI photos, scheduled comments, inspirations, and MCP, and the $69 or $39 price is acceptable for that bundle. Stay on Agency if a ghostwriter or agency has to approve and report for clients. Stay on Team if employees need their own seats, a shared calendar, and team metrics. Boykli has no organisation roles and no per-seat company plan.

Use both only with a clean handoff. Boykli can produce the draft, the PDF, and a personal-profile queue. MagicPost can hold the metrics, the replies, the leads, the company page, and the client or team workspace. Paying for both and expecting either one to absorb the other's missing half wastes one of the subscriptions.

FAQ

Is Boykli a MagicPost alternative for LinkedIn creators?

For one personal profile, yes, when the work is drafts, AI-designed carousel PDFs, images, and a queue you set yourself. MagicPost Creator is the closer match on generation, and it also measures posts, replies, scores leads, schedules comments, and edits the carousel. Boykli does not replace that second half. Growth is a weak comparison on price alone, because Growth does not generate posts.

Does the $29 Boykli plan include what MagicPost Growth includes?

No. Growth at $29 a month billed yearly, or $49 month to month, is manual writing, scheduling on a profile or a company page, advanced metrics, the engagement feed, and 100 leads a month. AI creation is closed. Boykli BYOK at $29 a month is generation and a personal-profile queue on your own model keys, without those analytics and without leads. Managed at $88 a month hosts the models inside the caps listed above.

Does Boykli copy my voice from old LinkedIn posts?

No. MagicPost's own pages describe a writing setup that analyzes published posts so later drafts stay closer to that person, and you still edit. Boykli's Voice Agent turns a live conversation into posts for that session. It does not store a style model built from your archive. You still read the draft before it goes out.

Can I schedule a company page, a first comment, or a client's approval?

Not in Boykli. Scheduling is the personal profile you connect. MagicPost Growth already schedules a personal profile or a company page. Scheduled comments start on Creator. Agency adds client approval from a link, with no MagicPost account required for the client, plus white-label reports. Team adds a shared calendar and team metrics, from two seats. Those seats are $59 a month each, or $47 billed yearly.

Does Boykli show impressions or find leads?

No. Metrics, the engagement feed, replies, and lead detection are on every MagicPost paid plan, with the quotas above. Boykli does not chart impressions and does not score people who engaged. The Algorithm page is reading material about LinkedIn's public notes. LinkedIn's own analytics remain available on LinkedIn.

What does the MagicPost trial include, and does Boykli match it?

MagicPost's help center says a new account gets a free trial of all features, with no card, a small allowance of AI generations and analyzed leads, and a length that depends on the country. When it ends, the account stays open and the paid features lock. An account that already used a trial on that LinkedIn identity does not get a second one. Boykli does not offer that all-features trial. Logged-in visitors can browse Radar and Algorithm without a paid seat. Writing, carousels, images, Voice Agent, LinkedIn publish, and scheduling require one.

Can I move my MagicPost workspace into Boykli?

No. Drafts, brand kit, inspirations, the calendar, metrics history, lead lists, and client approvals stay in MagicPost. Posts that already went live stay on LinkedIn. Cancelling MagicPost before you have copied anything you still need means Boykli has nothing to show in its place. A downgrade or a switch from yearly to monthly, on their help center, waits until the period you already paid ends. That is their billing rule, not a migration path.
