Kleo vs Supergrow for LinkedIn formatting and templates
Kleo and Supergrow both sell "templates" to people who are tired of a blank LinkedIn box. They mean different objects. Kleo's Learn card is a writing library: 400+ proven templates and 200+ high-performing post examples, next to preview and format editing on the post itself. Supergrow's template gallery is a slide deck: 50+ carousel layouts you edit in place, then brand and queue. Searching "Kleo vs Supergrow" as if both were formatters, or both were Canva, picks the wrong invoice.
Prices on this page are from Kleo's homepage and Supergrow's pricing page, plus Supergrow's carousel maker, on 26 October 2026. Recheck all three before you buy. Older roundups still describe a free Kleo Chrome extension, a Kleo plan near $12, or a Supergrow Starter at $19 with no carousel. Those cards are not what either site prints today.
Boykli is a third product, named where the job is a generated draft and a carousel PDF on one personal profile. It does not ship Kleo's template library or Supergrow's click-to-edit slide canvas. The narrower pages are Kleo alternative and Supergrow alternative. How Supergrow's carousel card compares with an in-feed editor is AuthoredUp vs Supergrow.
Two template products in one search
Name the artifact before you compare logos. A "template" in this category is one of three things.
- A post skeleton: a hook shape, a story beat, a list, a proof post. You fill the lines. The output is text.
- A visual layout: slide boxes, type, color, logo. You fill the boxes. The output is a document post.
- A formatter: bold, italic, lists, and a picture of the feed fold. LinkedIn's composer is a plain-text field. Styling is either structure (line breaks) or a Unicode letter swap. That mechanism is spelled out in LinkedIn text formatting.
Kleo's public cards answer the first, and they name the third as "preview and format editing" without publishing a character map. The Create card adds 20 visuals a month. The homepage does not publish a slide-template count, a hex brand kit, or a multi-page document editor.
Supergrow's Pro card answers the second. The carousel page groups layouts as thought leadership, frameworks, case studies, and lists. You can save your own. The brand kit stores hex colors, font weights, and a logo. Caption styling is not the row they lead with.
What each plan charges for the library
| Kleo | Supergrow | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry paid plan | Standard $99/month. One growth system: strategy, create, publish, analyze, learn, community | Pro $39/month for one account. Yearly is $31/month. Their FAQ calls that a 20% saving |
| Next public price | Each extra profile is +$49/month for a team or clients. Annual is $999/year, printed as save $189/year against twelve months at $99 | Teams $199/month, five accounts included. The admin dashboard is not a sixth seat. Yearly is $189/month. Enterprise is a quote past five accounts |
| Trial or refund | Monthly: 7-day money-back. Annual: 30-day risk-free guarantee, plus a 1:1 onboarding call, priority support, early access, and a lifetime price lock while the plan stays active | 7 days on every plan. If you do not pick a plan, they say the account pauses, with no charge and no data loss |
| What "templates" the card names | Learn: training library, 400+ proven templates, 200+ high-performing post examples. FAQ also lists templates, hooks, and proven frameworks, without a separate hook count | Carousel maker on Pro: 50+ pre-built layouts, save your own, brand kit. Text posts come from Content DNA and Postcast, not from a numbered post-template catalog |
| Visuals | Create card: unlimited chats and post creation, idea capturing, 20 visuals a month | Carousel maker on the same $39 seat. No published monthly deck cap |
| Format the post | Publish card: post management, preview and format editing, one-click scheduling and publishing | Slide editor: click-to-edit text, type controls, spacing and aspect ratio handled in the tool. A Unicode caption formatter is not on the pricing page |
Read the yearly math as printed. Twelve months of Kleo Standard is $1,188. Annual at $999 is $189 less, which is about $83 a month if you stay the year. Supergrow Pro moves from $39 to $31. Teams moves from $199 to $189, a smaller cut, and the FAQ states both figures separately.
Two profiles on Kleo Standard are $99 plus $49, so $148 a month before annual. Five LinkedIn accounts on Supergrow are the Teams card at $199, not five Pro seats. A solo writer comparing $99 with $39 is comparing one profile. An operator with five executives is comparing $99 plus four extras ($295 a month) with Teams at $199.
Post templates versus slide templates
This is the row the keyword is about. "Formatting" and "templates" are not one feature with two logos.
| Question | Kleo | Supergrow |
|---|---|---|
| Default template | A writing pattern: strategy, styles, voice, and a library of posts you can reverse-engineer. Their Learn blurb says real examples with breakdowns | A carousel layout. Pick one, edit the text, apply the kit, queue it |
| How many they publish | 400+ proven templates and 200+ high-performing post examples on the homepage Learn card | 50+ pre-built carousel templates, grouped by post type, plus layouts you save |
| Hooks | The FAQ groups "templates, hooks and proven frameworks" in one bullet. The homepage does not print a separate hook total | A hook catalog is not the product they lead with. Postcast is an interview that their FAQ says turns about ten minutes of talk into three to five drafts |
| Fill the template | Unlimited post writing, a knowledge base, and voice and identity memory. The FAQ says later posts get more relevant because the system keeps expertise, style, and previous content | Click any text on the slide. Duplicate, delete, or reorder slides. Upload an image or use their library. Content DNA is the stored voice for the words |
| Save your own | Swipe file and inspiration library, plus a Chrome extension that saves posts, pages, and blogs into that file | Save a carousel layout to reuse. Teams can share inspiration across workspaces. Pro is one account |
| Brand on the artifact | 20 visuals a month. A color, font, and logo kit for a deck is not described on the plan cards | Hex codes, font weights, and a logo, one click across the deck. They say workspaces can keep more than one kit |
| Preview | "Preview and format editing" is the Publish line. They do not publish a fold length, a device pair, or a list of styles such as bold and italic | The editor is the preview. They say templates are mobile-first because most LinkedIn views are on a phone |
| After the template is filled | Analytics and performance insights, weekly live coaching, group onboarding, and the private Kleo HQ community are on the Standard card | Profile analytics and a weekly report on Pro. Approval before publish is a Teams feature. The carousel FAQ says the deck uses the same workflow as text posts |
Kleo is the library you study, then write inside. The Chrome extension is the capture step for that library, included with the subscription. Jake Ward's note on the homepage says Kleo started as a small extension and grew past 70,000 users. The current FAQ lists the extension as saving content, alongside scheduling through LinkedIn's official API where they say it is appropriate. Supergrow's extension story is absent. Their safety FAQ says the product connects through LinkedIn's official API and does not scrape.
Supergrow is the layout you click. The feature page's path is four steps: pick a template, edit inline, apply the brand, schedule or publish. They market that path as no PDF download and no upload. The preview dialog on the same page still shows Images, PDF, and Attach to post. Treat direct publish as the path they sell. Treat the PDF action as something the preview still offers. Their "3x more engagement than text-only posts" line is their claim. It is not a measurement this page repeats.
A founder who needs a Monday caption with a proven shape is buying Kleo's 400+ templates and the format editor. A founder who needs six slides with a logo in the corner is buying Supergrow's 50+ layouts. Paying $99 to get a slide canvas Kleo does not document, or paying $39 to get a 400-template swipe course Supergrow does not document, is how this search wastes a month.

For the week when the draft and the carousel PDF are the missing pieces. BYOK is $29/month. Managed is $88/month.
boykli.com →What "format editing" can mean
LinkedIn does not give the post composer a bold button. A tool that says "format" is doing one of three jobs, and the vendor page should say which.
- Structure. Short lines, a blank line before the point, a list you can scan. The characters stay in the normal font. This survives copy, search, and a screen reader better than a wall of styled letters.
- Unicode styling. The tool swaps Latin letters for mathematical bold or italic code points. The feed looks styled. Some letters have no form in that range, so a word like "the" is the test. That swap is a formatter, described on the formatting page linked above. It is not a LinkedIn style.
- Slide type. Fonts, weights, hex colors, and a logo live in the document, not in the caption. The caption can stay plain while the slides carry the brand.
Kleo's Publish card says preview and format editing. It does not say which of the three the editor performs, and it does not publish a sample of styled characters. Open one draft, format a sentence that contains "the", and read it on a phone before you assume Unicode bold. The 20 visuals are a separate Create limit. A visual is not a six-slide template, and the homepage does not meter it as one.
Supergrow's editor is job three. Type controls, spacing, and aspect ratio are inside the slide. The brand kit applies hex, font weights, and a logo in one click. That is formatting for a document post. It does not document a caption bold button. If the only thing wrong with your draft is the "see more" fold on a text post, the carousel maker does not fix the caption. People who want a feed replica of that fold are in a different product. Boykli's own limit on that job is stated in LinkedIn post preview: the app does not draw the fold.
Where Boykli sits on templates and formatting
Boykli's public seats are BYOK at $29/month and Managed at $88/month. Both seats are the same product. Managed includes monthly caps: 210 posts, 150 carousels, 150 images, 25 Voice Agent sessions, and 130 post refinements. BYOK uses your OpenRouter key for chat and images and your Google AI Studio key for Voice Agent. Boykli does not add a generation cap on that seat. You still pay those providers. A paid seat is required before the app will write, create a carousel or image, publish, or schedule. Logged-in visitors can browse Radar and Algorithm without one.
| Job | Kleo Standard ($99) | Supergrow Pro ($39) | Boykli |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start from a template | 400+ post templates and 200+ examples, plus hooks and frameworks in the FAQ list | 50+ carousel layouts, or a blank canvas, or an upload. Text to Carousel sits beside Templates on the feature page | No public swipe file and no 400-template course. The carousel page has design layouts. The default is Neo-Brutalist. Eight layouts, one brand kit |
| Produce the words | Unlimited writing, knowledge base, voice and identity memory | Content DNA, unlimited Postcast, repurposing from YouTube, articles, and PDFs | Create posts from notes, a call, a video, an article, a document, or a series. Voice Agent is the interview for that session |
| Format the caption | Preview and format editing, as printed. Confirm bold and the phone fold in the product | Not the documented lead | Plain post text. No bold pass. If you paste styled letters in, they go out as characters |
| Format the slides | 20 visuals a month. A slide brand kit is not on the card | Click-to-edit, type controls, hex, fonts, logo, multiple kits | The model designs the PDF from the source and the brand kit: canvas, accent, logo, avatar, handle. Change a line by changing the source and creating again |
| Queue | One-click scheduling and publishing, in their words, via the official API where they use it. Extra profiles are $49 | Calendar, Kanban, auto first comment. Direct document publish is the path they sell | Personal profile only. You pick the days, the time of day, and the timezone. The queue is in LinkedIn scheduling tool |
| Coaching and community | Weekly live calls, group onboarding, Kleo HQ, on the Standard card. Annual adds a private 1:1 kickoff | Help center, chat, and priority support on Pro. A dedicated onboarding call is Enterprise | None. The product is the draft, the PDF, and the queue |
| Measurement | Analytics and performance insights on the Analyze card. The homepage does not name the columns | Profile analytics and a weekly report | No post analytics. Algorithm is a reading of LinkedIn's public notes |
The price order on one profile is Boykli BYOK ($29), Supergrow Pro ($39), Boykli Managed ($88), Kleo Standard ($99), then Kleo with one extra profile ($148), then Supergrow Teams ($199). Sticker order is useless until you know whether the month is a writing library, a slide editor, or a generated PDF. Managed at $88 is the seat where the carousel count is explicit: 150 generations. Supergrow publishes no carousel cap. Kleo publishes a visual cap of 20 and a template library, and does not publish a deck cap because it does not publish a deck product.
One source, one caption, one document
Use a source you would sign. A customer call, a chapter, or a short video is enough. A blank "thought leadership" prompt hides the difference between a template library and a slide layout.
- Write the point in one sentence before you open a tool. If you cannot, a template will only dress an empty claim. The constraint is the same one in why Boykli was built.
- Decide the artifact. Caption only, slides only, or both. The largest gap in last month's posts is the product.
- If the gap is the shape of the caption, open Kleo. Pick one of the published templates or examples that matches the sentence, not the one with the biggest impression screenshot. Draft against your knowledge base. Use preview and format editing on a sentence that includes ordinary words, then read it on a phone. Spend a visual only if the post needs a single graphic. The cap is 20 in the month. Queue from their scheduler and confirm the post leaves through the path their safety FAQ describes. The extension is for saving the next example, not for styling this one.
- If the gap is the document, open Supergrow Pro. Pick a layout from the type that matches the sentence: framework, case study, list, or thought leadership. Replace every line. Apply the brand kit. Read the slides at phone width. Their page says the templates are mobile-first. Save the layout if you will reuse the structure. Queue the document and the first comment from the same seat. Approvals wait until Teams. If you already have a PDF, their upload path is the one to test, and their marketing line about zero downloads is the one to reconcile with the preview's PDF button.
- If you want the sentences and the PDF generated from that same source, and you will post as yourself, open Boykli on a paid seat. Match the write mode to the source. Set the brand kit on the carousel page: canvas, accent, logo, handle. Create the PDF. Read every slide. A wrong line is fixed in the source, then created again. There is no per-box editor and no 400-template catalog to browse. Put the caption and the document on the personal-profile queue. You choose the days, the time of day, and the timezone. The queue does not attach a first comment and does not post as a company page. How a finished PDF is queued is how to schedule a PDF on LinkedIn. How the slides are built is LinkedIn carousel generator.
- Split the stack only when each tool has a job you will do this week. A reasonable split is Kleo for the template you study and the format pass on the caption, Supergrow for the deck you click through, and neither one asked to impersonate the other. Boykli replaces the generation step, not the coaching call and not the inline slide editor. Paying all three so each can "also format" is how the invoice grows while Monday's post is still a screenshot of a template.
FAQ
Is Kleo or Supergrow the LinkedIn formatting tool?
Kleo's Publish card is the one that says preview and format editing, at $99 a month, beside a library of 400+ templates and 200+ examples. Supergrow's formatting is on the carousel, on Pro at $39 a month: type controls, spacing, hex, fonts, and a logo across 50+ layouts. For a text post, start with Kleo and verify the editor on a real draft. For a document post, start with Supergrow. For Unicode bold as a separate step, read the formatting guide and test the letters. Boykli does not add that bold pass.
Does Supergrow include Kleo's post templates?
No published overlap of that kind. Supergrow does not list 400 post templates or 200 example breakdowns. It lists carousel layouts, Content DNA, and Postcast. Kleo does not list 50 carousel layouts or a one-click brand kit. Copying a Kleo example into a Supergrow slide is a manual paste. Neither vendor offers an import of the other's library.
What do extra profiles cost?
Kleo prints +$49 a month for each additional profile on top of Standard. Supergrow Pro is one account at $39. Five accounts are Teams at $199 a month, or $189 billed annually, and the admin dashboard is not one of the five. Boykli bills per login. Five writers are five seats. There is no five-account bundle and no company-page seat.
Is there a free template plan?
Kleo's homepage has no free tier. Monthly is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. Annual is covered for 30 days and adds the private onboarding call. Supergrow includes a 7-day trial of the product, and their carousel FAQ says that trial includes the carousel maker, the post generator, scheduling, and analytics. If you skip a plan, they say the account pauses. Boykli has no generation trial. Browsing Radar and Algorithm while logged in does not write the post or render the PDF.
Can I edit one line on a slide after I generate it?
In Supergrow, yes. The editor is click-to-edit, with duplicate and reorder. In Kleo, the documented visual is one of 20 a month, and a per-slide editor is not on the homepage. In Boykli, you change the source and create the PDF again. The brand kit is one kit, not a stack of client kits.
Does the annual Kleo plan change the templates?
The template counts sit on the product, and Annual says you get everything in Standard. The extras are the 1:1 call, priority support, early access, the 30-day guarantee, and the price lock at $999 a year. A Momentum sprint is mentioned on the homepage as a November 2026 cohort with limited spots. Treat that cohort as a dated offer and recheck it. It is not required to use the 400+ templates.
Which one should a solo founder buy for templates?
Buy Kleo Standard when the hour you lose is choosing a post shape, keeping a voice memory, and formatting the caption, and when the coaching call is part of why you pay $99. Buy Supergrow Pro when the hour you lose is building the document, and $39 with a 7-day trial is the test you want. Buy Boykli when the hour you lose is producing the draft and the PDF from material you already have, on a personal profile, at $29 with your own keys or $88 with hosted caps. The library, the slide canvas, and the generator are three purchases. One of them matches the artifact you still owe the feed.

Use it when the missing piece is the draft and a carousel PDF on your own profile. Kleo's template library and Supergrow's slide editor stay their own products.
