Podawaa alternative: why engagement pods hurt LinkedIn reach
A Podawaa alternative is a way to publish a LinkedIn post that a stranger in your market can use, without paying a network to like and comment on it in the first hours. Podawaa sells that early activity. The free plan trades it: your account likes and comments on other members through a Chrome extension, and members show up on yours. Paid plans are labeled Private. Your account stays out of the exchange. Other Podawaa members still like and comment. The search "Podawaa alternative" usually starts after those counts look healthy and the people who would buy still do not show up, or after a warning about automated activity.
Prices and plan limits below are from podawaa.com, read on 26 October 2026, including the weekly, monthly, and yearly cards and the FAQ on that page. Amounts are euros and exclude VAT. Recheck the page before you pay. Cards move. Older write-ups still list paid Community tiers. The live page on this date shows Community as the free plan, and every paid card as Private.
Boykli does not replace the likes. It writes the draft, builds a carousel PDF, and queues an approved post on the personal profile you connect. It does not like, comment, invite, or message. How that constraint was chosen is in building Boykli. The month-long operating version, once the boost is off, is how to grow on LinkedIn without engagement pods.
Logged-in visitors can browse Radar and Algorithm with no plan. Writing, carousels, Voice Agent, publishing, and scheduling need a paid seat. BYOK is $29 a month. Managed is $88 a month. Those are the public list prices on boykli.com as of 26 October 2026.
What you are buying when the invoice says "reach"
Name the job before the logo.
- The post is thin, and you want likes and comments in the first hours so the counts do not sit at zero.
- The post already contains a rule, a number, or a sequence from work you did, and you need a draft, a document, and a clock on your personal profile.
- You want comments under other people's posts so your name keeps appearing. That is a different product from a boost on your own post, and it is the activity LinkedIn has described as automated commenting when a tool clicks Comment.
Podawaa's homepage answers the first job. The headline is that people from your field like and comment in the first hour. Growth Autopilot spots a new post and starts the boost. Studio, drafts, scheduling, and a comment inbox are listed as the rest of the kit, and they unlock as the plan climbs. Scale, the entry paid card, lists boosts, likes, comments, Growth Autopilot, ten drafts, and industry targeting. It does not list Studio posts or scheduling. Those start on Accelerate.
Boykli answers the second job. Create posts drafts from a note, a link, a file, or a Voice Agent transcript. Carousel turns a sequence into a PDF. Schedule holds an approved item until the slot you set. The queue publishes to the personal profile. It does not seed the slot with a reaction.
Two modes, and what each one does to the account
Podawaa describes two ways to fly.
Community is the free plan. Your account likes and comments on other members' posts through the Chrome extension, and they show up for yours. The FAQ says the extension runs in the browser with the LinkedIn session you already have open. Comments are written by AI in each post's language. You do not approve them one by one. There is no pause button. To stop, you remove the extension, or you move to Private so your account leaves the exchange. The free card is five boosts a month, up to 20 likes and one comment per post, Growth Autopilot, three drafts, and one Studio session. No card.
Private is every paid plan on the page. Nothing to install. Podawaa says it does not need a login, and your account never likes or comments on anyone else's posts. The FAQ also says who still reacts: other Podawaa members, from their own accounts, matched by language (English, French, or Spanish). Industry targeting starts on Scale. The same FAQ says LinkedIn's terms restrict automated activity and inauthentic engagement, so Podawaa cannot rule out a limit on an account or on a boosted post's reach. On a paid plan, a boost that still falls short after 72 hours of retries is not counted. The free plan is not covered by that rule.
Private removes the reciprocal work from your session. It does not remove the arrangement. The likes and comments are still delivered because the post was boosted inside that network, not because a stranger decided the paragraph was worth a reply.
Why that arrangement hurts the reach you can keep
A pod, in the ordinary sense, is a group that agrees to like, comment, or re-share so a new post looks active while distribution is still being decided. LinkedIn has put that pattern on the record.
The Professional Community Policies tell members not to artificially increase engagement, including agreeing in advance to like or re-share. On 13 March 2026, LinkedIn's note on authentic content described pods as coordinated liking, commenting, and sharing meant to force visibility. LinkedIn said it had removed groups that showed that behavior and had warned members, including possible removal from programs such as Top Voices. On 12 March 2026, Tim Jurka said the company is working to make pods ineffective, and to curb comment automation from third-party software and browser extensions, which are not allowed.
The prohibited software page names bots that comment, like, share, or otherwise drive inauthentic engagement. The automated activity restriction is the practical notice: disable the software, and the feature returns at the time on the notice. Community mode, as Podawaa describes it, is an extension acting from your open session, posting comments you do not approve one by one. That is the shape those pages describe, whether or not the likes come from accounts with real careers.
Three failures show up in the numbers you can actually read, before any warning arrives.
The early likes are a subsidy. They come from members who are in the system to react. When you cancel, the first-hour pattern drops with the subscription. The drop feels like a penalty. It is the arranged activity ending. LinkedIn's public notes do not publish a formula that turns those reactions into a wider tier for strangers. They publish an intention to make the coordination ineffective. How a display is chosen, once a post is a candidate, is the LinkedIn algorithm guide. Boykli does not read your impression screen and does not score whether a post was limited.
The comment column trains the next draft wrong. A comment that arrives because a boost included "up to 10 comments" is on time. It is not a buyer arguing with a constraint. You learn that the post worked. The next one repeats the shape the network already agreed to reward. A comment you would forward to a colleague is the test in engagement bait versus a post that already contains the point.
The followers, when they arrive, are often the same network. They follow because your name is in today's queue, not because last Tuesday's post named a rule they needed. A follower count whose posts go quiet the week you leave was never an audience. Combined post analytics on LinkedIn splits impressions into in-network and out-of-network. That split is the honest reading of whether anyone outside the existing circle saw the post. Boykli does not import it.
June and September 2026 add a second filter that a pod does not fix. The 4 June note says content that looks generated and lacks a clear perspective is less likely to travel past the immediate network, and that using AI to help write is acceptable when the post is still your perspective. The 15 September note says hundreds of thousands of automated comment attempts are blocked a day. A boost can sit on top of a thin paragraph. It does not supply the perspective those notes say the feed is looking for.
Plan prices
Podawaa's paid cards are Private. Weekly renews every week at the full weekly price after a first week at 80 percent off. The page says that weekly path costs about 25 percent more over a month than paying monthly. Yearly is 17 percent off the monthly price, billed once. There is no free trial of a paid plan. Refunds are within 30 days of payment, by writing to the team. Extra LinkedIn accounts are Private only. The first account is the plan price. Each extra account is €19, €39, or €59 a month depending on the plan, on one invoice. The page does not label which of those three euros maps to Scale, Accelerate, or Dominate beyond "depending on the plan," and it says extras start from €19. On yearly billing, extra accounts are described as 10 months for 12.
| Monthly, excl. VAT | Yearly equivalent | After the first week, weekly | What the card adds | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free (Community) | €0, no card | €0 | — | 5 boosts a month, up to 20 likes and 1 comment per post, Growth Autopilot, 3 drafts, one Studio session. Chrome extension required |
| Scale | €59 | €49.17 a month, €590 billed once | €17, after a €3.40 first week | Unlimited boosts, up to 50 likes and 10 comments per post, Growth Autopilot, 10 drafts, industry targeting |
| Accelerate | €89 | €74.17 a month, €890 billed once | €26, after a €5.20 first week | Up to 100 likes and 20 comments, Studio for 30 AI posts a month, scheduling, 50 drafts, comment inbox with 30 AI replies a day |
| Dominate | €159 | €132.50 a month, €1,590 billed once | €46, after a €9.20 first week | Up to 250 likes and 50 comments, unlimited Studio posts and drafts, 150 AI replies a day, 20 repost boosts a month |
Boykli is a seat for the draft and the queue, in US dollars, on the public list.
| Price | What the seat is for | What it will not do | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Browse, logged in | $0 | Radar and Algorithm | Write, create a carousel, run Voice Agent, publish, or schedule |
| BYOK | $29 / month | Same product as Managed. Your OpenRouter key for chat and image, your Google AI Studio key for Voice Live. No Boykli monthly generation caps. You pay the providers | Use platform keys. Like, comment, invite, or message |
| Managed | $88 / month | Platform models. 210 posts, 150 carousels, 25 Voice Agent sessions, 150 images, and 130 post refinements a month | Exceed those caps. Join a pod |
One Managed or BYOK seat is the personal profile you connect. It is not a per-network social suite, and it does not add a company Page queue.
Ship the post without a boost
Create posts, carousels, and Voice Agent sit on a paid seat. BYOK is $29/month with your keys. Managed is $88/month with platform models and monthly caps. The queue does not like, comment, or message.
boykli.com →What each approach optimizes
| Approach | Who reacts in the first hours | What you learn | What you can keep if you cancel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Community free | Other members, and your account reacts on theirs through the extension | That the extension ran. The comment was not approved by you | Little. Five boosts stop. The extension's activity stops when you remove it |
| Private paid | Other Podawaa members, matched by language and, from Scale, industry. Your account does not return the favor | That a boost was delivered, up to the like and comment caps on the card | The drafts you wrote in their Studio, if you export them. The first-hour pattern leaves with the plan |
| A writing seat and a clock | Whoever actually stopped. Often nobody, in hour one | Which sentence a stranger argued with, after you reply yourself | The posts, the PDF, and a profile people can open next Tuesday |
The third row is slower in week one. It is the only row where a follow can mean the work. A scheduler that also writes is a separate shopping list from a pod. The LinkedIn scheduling tool page is that list. This page is the decision to stop buying the reactions.
A two-week replacement, after the boost is off
Do this on one personal profile. Hold the format and the weekday still, or you will blame the writing for a change in clock.
- Stop new boosts before you judge a draft. Turn Growth Autopilot off. On Community, remove the Chrome extension so the session stops liking and commenting for other members. On Private, cancel from the billing page. Podawaa says the plan keeps running until the end of the period you already paid. Do not boost the posts you are about to use as the comparison.
- Pull one object from work in the last ten days. A rule, a measured number, a sequence, or a constraint. "We should post more authentically" is a mood. "The onboarding checklist dropped from five screens to two, and activation at day seven went from 18 percent to 31 percent in the cohort that started after the cut" is an object. If you do not have the number, do not invent one.
- Draft where the words stay yours. On Boykli, Create posts takes the note, the link, or the file. Voice Agent is the path when the object is still a spoken story: you talk, the transcript is the source, and you edit the draft before anything is queued. The Voice Agent page is that path. The model may clean sentences. It may not supply a statistic you did not bring.
- Put the point in the post, not in the comment you hope will arrive. The first lines have to be about this object. A closer that says "comment YES" is the bait Jurka's March note said the feed would show less of. Cut it.
- If the object is a sequence of screens, build the PDF on the carousel page and keep the caption able to stand alone for anyone who does not swipe. A document is one post. It is not a substitute for the paragraph.
- Read the draft in a phone-width preview and a desktop-width preview. Line breaks that look fine in a wide editor collapse on a phone. Fix those before the slot.
- Queue one approved item at the weekday and local time you already use. The content calendar is the grid. Three posts in the week that each contain an object beat seven posts written to replace the missing likes. A second post inside the same day confuses the comparison.
- After it is live, reply yourself to the comment that added a constraint, a number, or a correction. Leave two or three comments, in LinkedIn, on posts in the same work, and only where you have something to add. Boykli will not click Comment for you.
- At day seven and day fourteen, open LinkedIn's post analytics for the new posts and for the last two boosted posts of the same format. Record impressions, the in-network and out-of-network split, and whether any reply quoted a line you wrote. Ignore the like total as the verdict. One post is noise. Two weeks of the same format is the smallest comparison worth keeping.
If the out-of-network number was carried by the boost and the new posts stay inside people who already follow you, the writing is the next edit, not a return to the pod. The algorithm guide is how to read that split without inventing a viral switch.
FAQ
Is Podawaa an engagement pod?
Podawaa's own pages argue that Private is not a small reciprocal group, because your account does not engage for others and you do not join a circle you manage by hand. The mechanism a buyer should price is still arranged engagement: other members like and comment because the post was boosted, matched by language and, on Scale and above, by industry. Community free is the reciprocal version, and it requires the extension. LinkedIn's March 2026 notes describe coordinated liking, commenting, and sharing used to force visibility, and they say that pattern is something the company is trying to make ineffective. Podawaa's FAQ says a limit on the account or on the boosted post's reach cannot be ruled out.
Does Private mode make the boost safe?
Private, as described on the pricing page, means nothing is installed and your account does not like or comment on other members. That removes the extension traffic from your session, which is the part Community cannot avoid. The likes and comments on your post still come from other Podawaa members. Safety is LinkedIn's call under its policies, not a toggle on a vendor card. Boykli does not offer a Private-style boost as a safer tier. It does not deliver likes or comments at all.
How much does Podawaa cost compared with a writing seat?
On 26 October 2026 the Podawaa monthly cards were €59, €89, and €159 excluding VAT, with yearly prepay at €590, €890, and €1,590. The free plan is five boosts and needs the extension. Boykli's public list is $29 a month for BYOK and $88 a month for Managed. Those products do not include each other's job. €59 buys a boost cap. $29 or $88 buys drafts, carousels, and a queue, and buys none of the likes.
Can Boykli comment, invite, or "warm up" a post?
No. Publishing an approved draft to the connected personal profile is the automation. Replies, follows, and invitations stay in LinkedIn, written by you. A tool that comments from your session is the category the prohibited-software page and the September 2026 note are about.
What happens to reach the week I cancel?
Expect the first-hour like and comment pattern to fall, because that pattern was the plan. Posts that already contained a specific object can keep the readers who saved them. Posts that only worked inside the boost will look quiet, which is the information the subsidy was hiding. Give the replacement two weeks at the same format and clock before you decide the writing failed.
Does Studio replace a ghostwriter?
Studio is Podawaa's writing add-on. The free card includes one Studio session. Scale's card does not list a monthly Studio allowance. Accelerate includes 30 AI posts a month. Dominate lists unlimited Studio posts. Scheduling is on Accelerate and above. If the reason you pay is the writing, you are buying the higher cards to get a feature the boost product treats as secondary. Boykli's seat is the writing and the PDF first. The LinkedIn post generator page is how a draft stays tied to material you brought.
Keep the audience, drop the flock
A paid Boykli seat drafts and queues the post. It does not run a pod, an extension, or a comment inbox. BYOK is $29/month. Managed is $88/month.
