High-converting LinkedIn CTA examples for founders and creators

A high-converting LinkedIn call to action is the last paragraph of a post that names one action the reader can finish from that post. Open this page. Watch from this timestamp. Reply with this number and this window. The conversion is that completed action. This page does not publish a click-through rate for any line, because a rate borrowed from someone else's account is not a rate you can defend.

The line fails when the reader has to guess the object. "Follow for more," "Comment YES," "link in the comments," and "DM me and I'll audit it" all ask for motion without naming a page, a minute, a price, or a figure the reader already has. Those lines can still collect replies. They do not convert a founder or a creator's actual next step, because the next step was never written down.

Boykli writes that last paragraph only when you turn Call to action on. The hint under the switch is "Ask the reader to do one specific next step." The switch is off until you turn it on. Under it, CTA text is optional. The placeholder is a next step such as signing up for a newsletter. If you type an angle, the writer builds the last paragraph from that angle. If you leave the box empty, the writer invents a closer from the draft, and an empty draft produces an empty ask. On copy and on publish, the internal line === CTA === is removed. LinkedIn receives the paragraph. It does not receive the marker, and it does not receive a separate button.

The switch is on Medium, Long, YouTube, Article, Document, and Series. Short has no switch. Voice Agent has no CTA text box. Its writer bans "Agree?", "Thoughts?", "Comment below," and "Follow for more" outright. The reason the words still have to start from a note you brought is the constraint in building Boykli.

Logged-in visitors can browse Radar and Algorithm without a plan. Writing the post under the closer needs a paid seat. BYOK is $29 a month. Managed is $88 a month. Prices are the public ones on boykli.com.

The left column is the search a lot of "high-converting CTA" lists answer. Samples of posts that end on "Comment KEYWORD" are the ones marked down in the July 2026 cut covered on putting links in the first comment versus the post body. A closer that asks for a token is also the fail cell in engagement versus a post that already contains the point. The middle column is what an empty CTA box writes when the draft never named a destination. The right column is the only one that can send a stranger to a thing you operate this week.

Match the last line to a next step you already run

Pick one row. Two actions in one CTA text box produce two posts fighting over one ending. The opening line is a different control. Fill-in first lines live on LinkedIn hook templates for founders. The switch that returns one to five openings is the LinkedIn hook generator. A hook does not replace the closer, and a closer does not stop the scroll.

Nothing. The post is the productDo not type a closer. Leave the switch offAny mode, including ShortAlways, in this row

Short posts are asked to land around 30 to 75 words. The page label says 45–400 characters. Medium is about 100 to 250 words (400–1,400 characters on the page). Long is 1,400–3,000 characters. Series parts are asked for 600–1,200 characters each. The closer, when the switch is on, is still one short action at the end. It is not a second post. Length for the whole text, including the 3,000-character ceiling, is on LinkedIn post length.

Examples you can fill this week

Each line is one closer. Replace every bracket. Delete the brackets. If a bracket has no honest fill, that number is not available. Do not merge two numbers into one sentence. Paste one filled line into CTA text. The writer is told to construct the ending from that angle, in your nouns, without a hashtag, an emoji, or markdown. Text posts use Grok 4.6. The same CTA instruction is on the YouTube path, including a video that has no captions.

These lines are shapes. Boykli does not store them. The draft in your Library is the copy that remains.

A page a founder already operates (1–6)

  1. [Page name] is where [price or limit] is written. The question it answers is [one question]. The URL is in this post.
  2. [Offer] is [price] for [buyer]. Checkout is [page name]. Everything else on the site is context.
  3. We stopped taking [engagement type] on [date]. The note that states the cutoff is [title]. The URL is in this post.
  4. The [plan] cap is [number] [unit] a [period]. Past that, the path is [page name].
  5. Office hours are [weekday] at [time and timezone], [duration]. The booking page is [page name]. A DM is not the booking.
  6. The changelog entry for [ship] is dated [date]. That entry is the source. The URL is in this post.

Invalid if the price is "affordable," the page name is "my website," or the URL is a promise you plan to add in a comment after publishing. Boykli's queue publishes the post you approved. It does not publish a comment, and it has no field for a first comment.

A reply that has to contain a number (7–10)

  1. Reply with [metric] for [window]. A reply that only says yes does not give me a figure to put next to [your figure].
  2. If you killed [process], reply with the metric you kept and the date you switched. Skip the adjective.
  3. [Count] of the last [count] [deals or issues] named [objection]. If your last [count] named something else, reply with the phrase they used.
  4. The cycle from [start] to [end] is [duration] here. Reply with yours and the quarter you measured. A range is fine. A vibe is not.

Invalid if you would accept "Yes," "Great post," or a keyword as a successful reply. That is the token closer. The writer will produce it when your CTA text asks for comments. Leave that request out of the box unless you have decided the comment count is the goal. The four-cell pass for that decision is on engagement versus value.

A creator's episode, essay, or issue (11–15)

  1. [Title] is [length]. The section on [claim] starts at [timestamp]. The video is that title.
  2. The essay is [title]. The table is under [heading]. The URL is in this post.
  3. Issue [number] of [publication] covers [one decision]. The archive link is in this post. A follow is not the issue.
  4. The template is [filename's job], [page count] pages. It assumes you already have [input]. The URL is in this post.
  5. I recorded the walkthrough of [screen or workflow] on [date]. The click that matters is at [timestamp] in [title].

Invalid if the timestamp is "somewhere in the middle," or if the CTA text says to hide the URL under the first comment. The YouTube instruction tells the writer to make watching feel useful, and to skip "link in the comments" unless your CTA text says that. Placement data for a URL in the body versus a line that points at the comments is on external links in comments. Put the URL in the body when the click is the point.

A series, and a closer you should not write (16–18)

  1. This is part [n] of [n]. The next part is the [mechanism]. Stay for that part if you run [system].
  2. This is the last part. The checklist lives on [page name]. Earlier parts do not have the link.
  3. [Metric] moved from [before] to [after] in [window], and the sequence stayed off.

Use 16 only on a middle part, and only with the Series switch on. The series instruction puts a closer on each part when the switch is on, and the last part carries the series-ending ask. Use 17 on that last part. Use 18 with the switch off. It is a closing sentence, not an action. Short mode can hold a sentence like 18, because Short never offers the switch and its prompt bans the bait closers with no exception for a CTA idea.

Invalid for 16 and 17: "Follow so you do not miss part 3." That is a follow request. The series prompt refuses it unless your CTA text asks for follows.

A slide button inside a PDF is a different object. Accent color on a carousel card is a brand-kit choice, described on LinkedIn brand kit. It does not become this last paragraph, and this last paragraph does not become a button on the slide.

A working session: one action, one draft

  1. Write the action in one sentence before you open the model. "The pricing page lists $88 and $29. The URL goes in the post." If you cannot name the action, you do not have a CTA. You may still have a post. Leave the switch off and write the post. The post generator page is the mode and tone map for that draft. This page is only the last paragraph.
  2. Open Boykli on a paid seat. Browsing Radar does not write. Pick the mode from the table above. Short cannot carry this step.
  3. Paste the idea, the video URL, the article URL, the document, or the series source. The closer cannot invent a page the source never mentioned. If the idea is "thought leadership," the empty CTA box will still try to end on an action, and that action will be generic. Fix the idea, or turn the switch off.
  4. Turn Call to action on. Paste one filled line from this page into CTA text. One line. If you already trust the draft to contain the object, you may leave the box empty and let the writer build a relevant closer. Read that closer as a guess. An empty box is not a strategy.
  5. Turn the hook switch on only if you also want alternative first lines. That control is separate. It is absent on Series. Default variations are three, and the range is one to five. The first variation becomes the opening. Your CTA text does not become the opening.
  6. Write. The draft comes back with the body, then a block labeled Call to Action when the marker is present. The marker is for the editor. Rewrite the italic block until a stranger could do the thing without a second post. Delete a keyword. Delete "let me know what you think." If the URL is the action, the URL is in the body you will publish.
  7. Read the joined text the way it will publish. Copy and Post to LinkedIn both strip the marker and join the hook, the body, and the closer with normal spacing. Post preview shows the draft in a mobile and a desktop feed frame. Preview does not estimate clicks.
  8. Approve, then publish or queue. The queue sends the approved text to the personal profile you connect with LinkedIn OAuth. It does not comment, like, connect, or message, and company pages are not a destination. How the clock works is on LinkedIn scheduling. A closer you did not read is still your closer when it goes out.

If the source was a voice memo, clean the note first and then use this same switch on Medium or Long. The path from a recording to that note is voice to a LinkedIn post. Voice Agent itself returns three drafts from the transcript and does not ask you for CTA text.

What the writer will refuse unless you type it

On Medium, Long, YouTube, Article, Document, and Series, the prompt bans these closers unless your CTA text explicitly asks for comments or follows:

  • "Agree?"
  • "Thoughts?"
  • "Comment below"
  • "Follow for more"
  • "Like if you agree" on Medium and Long
  • "And that's the real lesson"

Short bans the same family with no escape hatch, because Short has no CTA text field. YouTube also refuses "link in the comments" unless your CTA text says that.

The instruction when the switch is on is narrower than "end strong." The closer must be one short, specific action. A paragraph of three asks is a miss even if every ask is real. Cut to the one a buyer or a reader can finish today.

An empty CTA text box does not trigger that refusal list by itself. It tells the writer to make a closer relevant to the post. Relevance without an object becomes "let me know if you want the template." Treat an empty box as permission for the model to choose the action. Type the action when you care which action it is.

FAQ

What does high-converting mean on this page?

The reader can finish one named action from the post: open a page that exists, watch from a timestamp you named, or reply with a figure and a window. It does not mean a percentage. Boykli does not score closers, and LinkedIn does not hand you a CTA conversion rate in the composer.

Does Boykli keep a swipe file of these lines?

No. The eighteen lines stay on this page. Create posts stores the draft you wrote, in your Library, with the closer as the last paragraph after the marker is stripped. Next Tuesday's post does not inherit this post's CTA text.

Should the link go in the first comment so the post reaches more people?

Boykli has no first-comment field. The studies on placement, and the reason a "link in the comments" sentence is its own cost, are on external links. If the action is a URL, type the URL in the post. If you do not want the URL in the feed, do not make the URL the CTA.

What happens if I leave CTA text empty?

The writer builds one closer from the post. That is useful when the idea already names the page, the minute, or the metric. It is how generic endings get into a thin draft. Turn the switch off when you have no next step.

Can a carousel's last slide be the CTA instead?

The caption is still the post. A button drawn on a slide is layout, from the brand kit accent, and the reader who never swipes never sees it. Put the action in the post text when the action matters. The PDF is a separate file.

Will scheduling change the closer?

No. The queue publishes the text you approved, including the last paragraph, on the clock you saved. It does not append a follow line, and it does not move the URL into a comment at publish time.

What does writing cost?

A paid seat. BYOK is $29 a month and uses your own provider keys, with no Boykli monthly cap. Managed is $88 a month and uses platform models with the caps listed on boykli.com. Browsing Radar and Algorithm does not require either seat. The Call to action switch is part of writing, so it sits behind the same plan check as the rest of Create posts.
